Welcome to BitePlan. By downloading, installing, or using the BitePlan application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

BitePlan is an AI-powered meal planning application that generates personalized weekly meal plans, provides nutrition analysis, shopping lists, and health tracking features. The App is available on iOS and Android.

2. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use BitePlan
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
You agree to provide accurate and complete information

3. Free and Pro Tiers

Free Tier: Includes limited meal plan regenerations (1/month), food scans (3/month), and meal swaps (3/month).

Pro Tier: Unlimited access to all features. Available as monthly (HK$38/month) or annual (HK$298/year) subscriptions.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Payment is charged through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings
Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
No refunds for partial subscription periods

4. Promo Codes

Promotional codes may be offered from time to time. Each code can only be redeemed once per account. Promo codes cannot be combined, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

5. AI-Generated Content

Meal plans and nutrition analysis are generated by artificial intelligence
AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical or nutritional advice
While we strive for accuracy, AI may occasionally produce errors or inappropriate suggestions
Always consult a healthcare professional for medical dietary needs

6. Health Disclaimer

BitePlan is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The meal plans, nutrition information, and health tracking features are for general wellness purposes only. If you have specific medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements, consult your doctor or registered dietitian before following any meal plan.

We make reasonable efforts to flag allergens and dietary conflicts, but we cannot guarantee complete accuracy. You are responsible for verifying ingredient safety.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App
Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits
Scrape, copy, or redistribute AI-generated content commercially
Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content through the food scanner

8. Intellectual Property

The BitePlan name, logo, design, and code are the property of BitePlan. AI-generated meal plans are provided for your personal use only. You may share individual meals via the App's sharing features.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of BitePlan is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

10. Limitation of Liability

BitePlan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any health issues arising from following AI-generated meal plans
We are not liable for inaccurate nutrition information or allergen detection
We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding a claim

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
